The Burj Khalifa is currently, as of 2015, still under construction. The entire building is expected to be completed by October of 2010 and officially open on January 4th of 2011. When it’s finished, it will have 2700 residences and 2409 hotel rooms for a total floor area of 1.05 million square feet. Although many don’t realize it, there are actually 101 habitable floors in addition to that spire at the top, which adds another 500 ft (150 m) to its total height when complete.
